Dr. Justin Moyer is a 2007 graduate of Tippecanoe High School in Tipp City, OH, a 2011 graduate of Ohio State University, and a 2015 graduate of Nova Southeastern University's College of Optometry. During optometry school, he completed a six-month internship with Commonwealth Eye Surgery in Lexington, KY, where he fell in love with treating and monitoring ocular disease, specifically cataracts, glaucoma, and macular degeneration.
While Dr. Moyer didn't grow up in Findlay, his family has been in Hancock County for generations. Many of his family members have been educators at various schools in Hancock County. Because his grandfather taught at Findlay City Schools, he has always had a warm place in his heart for the area as it was a place he visited often and learned how to play football and basketball, even shooting his first baskets in the old Central gym. A fun fact his family tells is that they had at least one Moyer in the Arcadia school systems from the mid-1950s until the mid-2010s when his youngest cousin graduated. Luckily, in 2017, Dr. Moyer was able to move to Findlay, where he eventually met his wife, Laura, from Van Buren.
Aside from helping people with their eye care needs, Dr. Moyer enjoys spending time with his family, playing basketball and golf, and watching the Buckeyes and Browns on the weekends in the fall.
